The farm inns are places to eat (some also offer accommodations) on farms located in the mountains. Its history dates back to the 19th century when marcairies (mountain summer farms) opened to hikers to offer them cover and farm products. This combination of hospitality and mountain farming today allows to maintain authentic traditions marcaires such as the Roïgebrageldi, Munster (which is also used for dessert cheese with kirsch), blueberries pies, so many delicious typical menus of farm-inns in the Hautes-Vosges.
