Description EN

Crest Road :

Constant drawn line of ridges, its peaks connect Cernay to Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines on more than 77 km. One can admire the landscape characteristics of the Vosges mountains, its collars, its balloons, lakes, stubble-fields and it offers panoramic and extensive views .

Running through the Grand Ballon (highest peak of the Vosges 1424 m), the Markstein (station World Cup skiing), Hohneck and Col de la Schlucht.

The high-stubble :

This beautiful open landscape, consisting of moorland and pasture to the specific flora, lies above the forest floor on a strip of 40 km of ridge between Grand Ballon and the Col du Bonhomme. Naturally occurring, but widely favored by agropastoral exploitation since the Xth century, the stubble gives the Hautes-Vosges their true identity power.

An ideal place for strolling and contemplation.
