  • Opening :
    July and August : daily from 2 to 5.30pm except Monday and Saturday. Demonstrations : Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
    April-October : demonstrations the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 2 to 5.30pm.
    Groups : all year round by reservation.

    Child(6-16 years) : 1,70 €/pers
    Adults (from 16 years) : 3,50 €/pers

Description

A mill turning
The oil mill of Storckensohn produces oil since 1732. Walnuts, canola, sunflower were pressed on the spot for local residents. In the nineteenth century the mill expanded into the manufacture of apple juice.
In 1991, the restoration of the mill was undertaken by a group of volunteers, supported by the municipality and the owner of the mill. Demonstrations of traditional making walnut oil and apple juice is now possible again.

The house of nuts
Traditions, superstitions, witchcraft, sayings and games on the theme of the nut to discover in the course of a typical mountain peasant workers of the 19th century.

The traditionnal oil work
Since 2008, the association has an oil mill scale mountain. A walnut oil, hazelnut and hemp is fine and tasty pressed the old throughout the year.

Bring your kernels and leave with your own nuts oil.
By appointment only, contact by phone Tuesday and Thursday from 3 to 5pm.
€ 4.50 per liter of oil (2009 price).
